    National Testing Agency (NTA):

    We all are aware that the National Testing Agency (NTA) has been established as an autonomous testing organisation to conduct entrance examinations for admission after CUET in higher educational institutions. 

    The National Testing Agency(NTA) conducts Common University Entrance Test(CUET exam)

    for admission to UG and PG courses. The candidates need to register themselves for the CUET UG examination on the CUET 2024 official website- cuet.samarth.ac.in. 

    The Common University Entrance Test (CUET (UG) - 2024) has been prescribed for admission after CUET in all UG Programmes in all Central Universities under the Ministry of Education, (MoE). 

    The candidates who apply for university which is one of the participating Universities in CUET, need to timely fill up the CUET application form.

    The process of admission after CUET provides a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country.

    The notification regarding the CUET application form is likely to be issued shortly by NTA. The candidates seeking admission after CUET may check for updates by visiting the official website- cuet.samarth.ac.in. 

    CUET- A Computer-Based Test(CBT): 

    Candidates need to fill up the CUET form for the national level test, which is a computer-based test(CBT) for admission to UG/PG programmes.

    CUET score-based admission in participating Universities : 

    The CUET participating Universities admit students to various UG and PG programs on the basis of scores obtained by candidates after filling in the CUET form and appearing in the said CUET examination.

    The admission to UG/PG programmes in Central, States, deemed to be Universities and Private Universities in India is largely based on the CUET result. 

    CUET mock tests:

    The NTA conducts CUET mock tests so as to familiarise students.

    Medium of CUET 2024:

    NTA conducts this CUET examination in 13 languages i.e. Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. 

    The candidates need to fill up the CUET application form for the exam scheduled to be held from May 15 to May 31, 2024, well within the time prescribed by the NTA. 

    However, the notification is likely to be issued next month with complete information regarding:- when the CUET Registration starts, when CUET Registration ends, CUET eligibility, exam date, syllabus, paper pattern, the last date for submitting the application form, the timelines for amending the entries filled in by the candidates, last date for updating paper, the date for city initiation slip, date of issuance of CUET admit card, the date for the release of provisional answer key etc., date to raise objections, if any, the date for issuance of final answer key and the declaration of CUET result.

    Courses Offered Through CUET Exam

    The courses offered by the CUET participating Universities are Bachelor of Science(B.Sc.), Bachelor of Arts(B.A.), Bachelor of Agricultural Science(B.Sc. Agri.), Integrated BA-LLB, Bachelor of Business Administration(BBA) and Bachelor of Commerce. (B.Com.)

    CUET Marking Scheme :

    The marking scheme for the CUET involves awarding +5 marks for each correct answer; and -1 mark for each incorrect answer.

    CUET Exam Centres: 

    NTA conducts the CUET examination across the Indian territory in major cities. For the ease of students staying abroad, the CUET examination is also held in various countries where the candidates have to visit with their CUET admit cards for writing the CUET exam.

    Steps involved in filling CUET 2024 Form:

    Step 1 - CUET registration is needed for the CUET 2024 exam at cuet.samarth.ac.in.

    Step 2 - Enter your relevant particulars.

    Step 3 - Enter Login passwords received on the Email/Mobile number

    Step 4 - Fill up all the details in the application form. 

    Step 5 - Upload the scanned copy of your recent photograph and signature.

    Step 6 - Make Payment towards application fee as applicable ( For General candidates: Rs. 750/-; For OBC-NCL, EWS: Rs. 700/-; For SC/ ST/PwD/Transgender: Rs. 650/-; For Outside India candidates: Rs. 3,750/-)

    Step 7 - Take a printout of the CEUT 2024 application form.

    Eligibility Criteria:

    A candidate who has to apply for university admission must have either passed class 12 or must be appearing for the class 12 exam. 

    Candidates belonging to the General category should have secured at least 50%; Candidates belonging to SC/ST must have secured at least 45% in the class 12th examination from any recognised board.

    DU CUET subject combination

    DU CUET subject combination for the candidates is that they need to appear in CUET (UG)-2024 in the Languages/Domain-Specific Subjects in which they are appearing/have passed in Class XII. 

    List A:  Languages of Section 1A Section 1B of CUET (UG) - 2024

    Candidates must appear in at least one language from the following:-

    Arabic, Gujarati, Manipuri, Sindhi, Assamese, Hindi, Marathi, Spanish, Bengali, Italian, Nepali, Tamil, Bodo, Japanese, Odia, Telugu, Chinese, Kannada, Persian Tibetan, Dogri Kashmiri Punjabi, Urdu, English, Konkani, Russian, French Maithili Sanskrit, German, Malayalam, Santhali

    Candidates can choose the domain-specific subjects in which they should appear in the CUET exam.

    CUET application form for the CUET PG :

    The National Testing Agency has the onus to conduct CUET for admission to Postgraduate Programmes in Central and other participating Universities / Institutions / Organizations / Autonomous Colleges.

    The CUET application form for the CUET PG is currently open for the CUET PG which is scheduled to be held on 11.03.2024 and 28.03.2024. 

    The Schedule for CUET(PG)-2024 is as under:-

    1. The facility for Online Submission of the Application forms through the Website (https://pgcuet.samarth.ac.in/) is available from 26 December 2023 to 24 January 2024. (up to 11:50 P.M.)
    2. Last date for payment of fee through Credit/Debit Card/NetBanking/UPI is 25 January 2024 (up to 11:50 P.M.)
    3. The period to make corrections in the Particulars of the Application Form on the website is from 27 January 2024 to 29 January 2024 (up to 11:50 P.M.)
    4. The last to make advance City Intimation is  04 March 2024.
    5. The date for Downloading Admit Cards from the NTA website is 07 March 2024
    6. The Date of Examination is from 11 March 2024 to 28 March 2024.
    7. The date for Answer Key Challenges is 04 April 2024.

    Duration of CUET-PG 2024: 

    Shift 1 hour 45 minutes (105 Minutes) | 3 Shifts

    The timing of the Examination Will be announced later on the Website(s) https://nta.ac.in/, https://pgcuet.samarth.ac.in/

    Additional Examination City/Centres for CUET (PG) - 2024: 

    Two additional Examination City/Centre for CUET (PG) - 2024 have been added to the list of examination centres for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-PG) 2024 for Academic Session 2024-25 which will be conducted throughout the country from 11th March 2024 to 28th March 2024 through the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. 

    The newly added centres are the following-

    1. Gurugram (Haryana)
    2. Srinagar (Uttarakhand)

    Those candidates who have already submitted their application forms can edit the city Examination Centre when the correction window is open.

    Candidates, after the declaration of the result of their CUET examination, are required to submit their applications to the participating Universities/ institutions.
